Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in fast-paced labs or hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients; perform specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique with straight/butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders match requisitions and label accordingly.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
