Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and properly label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders match requisitions and transport specimens as required.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
