Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to support the Lab: Reference Lab Testing in Charlotte, NC. The role involves collecting blood samples, processing specimens, and assisting with patient registration and data entry in the CLIA-waived laboratory setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to work Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5PM. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred for facilities where phlebotomy is an assigned duty.

Responsibilities

• Collects and/or processes patient blood obtained by venipuncture and/or capillary puncture.
• Processes nonblood patient specimens in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Assists in specimen preparation, receipt, and transport of patient specimens.
• Performs patient registration.
• Provides phone support for patient care areas in a polite and supportive manner.
• Maintains competency with hospital and laboratory information systems as needed to perform job duties.
