Advocate Health's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Lab: Outreach Services in Lexington is seeking a Full‑time Phlebotomist. This role focuses on accurate blood specimen collection, proper labeling and timely delivery to the appropriate lab sections, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule and weekend rotation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and may have 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medical center standards and communicates effectively with teammates.
• Ensures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens.
• Ensures proper patient/sample identification and delivery to lab sections.
• Follows safety procedures when dealing with patients and specimens.
• Demonstrates advanced phlebotomy knowledge and serves as a resource to staff.
• Maintains specimen processing and reports in LIS.
• Performs clerical lab duties and may perform waived testing.
• Contributes to smooth operation of the laboratory section.
