Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist in Cumming, GA for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The shift runs 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday to Friday, for an initial 3-month duration with possible extension.

The role requires experience with venipuncture across age groups, valid phlebotomy certification, and at least 6 months in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate techniques.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
