Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Cumming, GA. Schedule is 7:15am – 4:15pm, Monday through Friday, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accurate test orders and specimen integrity. Requires phlebotomy certification and at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders; match requisition forms to tubes; label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport; store samples per required temperature; label and transport according to protocol to maintain integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual department trainings; answer inquiries from telephone calls and read lab results.
