Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Cumming, GA for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday to Friday. Requires 2+ years of experience and proficiency with blood draws across all ages.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process and specimen collection clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store specimens at required temperatures.
