Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners seeks a Phlebotomist for our Newberg, OR assignment. The role involves performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring specimen integrity under OSHA guidelines. The position is a contract with rotating Saturdays, M-F 7am-3:30pm, with potential for permanent placement.

Experience drawing blood, accurate data recording, and proficiency with MS Office are preferred. Training and benefits are available as part of the engagement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; labels, centrifuges, and stores specimens as required.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores at required temperatures.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
