Job summary

United Future in Newberg, OR is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanence. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm with rotating Saturdays.

The role includes blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data maintenance, patient communication, and strict OSHA/DEP compliance. Benefits are available.

You must have a valid state Phlebotomy certification, at least six months venipuncture experience, MS Office proficiency, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment is required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens per procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens, maintain data, and decontaminate work areas.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
