Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Oceanside, CA seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with possible transition to permanent placement. The role includes blood draws, specimen labeling, and data entry, with travel to PSC locations as needed.

Expect 6AM–6PM shifts, some weekend rotation, and mileage reimbursement. Requirements include an active phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture in a fast-paced setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and High School Diploma or GED as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate, update patient information, and transport specimens as required.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package and store specimens per protocol to maintain integrity.
