Your Talent Team is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Due West, SC. The position supports blood collection, specimen labeling, data recording, and compliance with safety regulations. Schedule is M-F 8a-5p with potential for permanent hire.

Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and a state Phlebotomy certification are required. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer phone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
