ExcelliSearch, Inc. in Due West, SC seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

The role involves blood collection, specimen labeling, and workflow improvement within a clinical lab setting. The ideal candidate has a valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 1 year of experience

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process in a clear but courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all physicians' orders.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocols.
