Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Due West, SC. Duties include performing venipuncture, labeling, and processing specimens, with attention to OSHA and DEP regulations. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8a-5p, with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Requirements include state phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles as needed.
• Understands physicians' orders and matches requisitions to specimens.
• Packages specimens for transport and ensures correct labeling and storage.
