Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Greenwich, CT. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and handling specimens while maintaining accurate patient data and compliance with OSHA regulations.

The role requires a phlebotomy certification and at least 12 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 12 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate venipuncture techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensure all test requisitions match laboratory scripts for accuracy.
• Package and transport specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
