Job summary

Hire Consulting Services is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Greenwich, CT, with a 3-month duration and potential for permanent placement. Schedule: 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Requires a state phlebotomy certification and at least 12 months of venipuncture experience; MS Office proficiency preferred. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling and handling, documenting results, ensuring compliance with OSHA/DEP, and contributing to workflow

Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification required in some states.
• Minimum of 12 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders match and specimens are properly labeled and stored.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper temperatures.
