The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role covering the San Antonio area. The position involves blood draws, labeling, specimen handling, and adherence to lab procedures. Availability Monday-Friday with an 8-hour shift, and a duration of approximately 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Minimum one year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required. Benefits are available, with training and OSHA/DEP compliance emphasized throughout the assignment.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws and properly label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontamination.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture process to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature controls.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
