Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in San Antonio, TX, covering locations within a 10-15 mile radius. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. with a 8-hour shift.

Potential for permanent placement; benefits are available. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and handling of specimens, data recording, and adherence to OSHA and DEP regulations. Minimum qualifications include 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and a valid state phlebotomy

Qualifications

Requires at least 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience.
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
