Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in San Antonio, TX, with a float position covering locations within a 10-15 mile radius. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (8-hour shifts).

The project duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Minimum qualifications include a valid phlebotomy certification for the state and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting; proficiency in Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
