Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Greenwich, CT seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays. Benefits are available.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and managing specimen data, with strict adherence to regulatory protocols. Requires phlebotomy certification and 12 months’ experience.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required.
• Minimum of 12 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures; ensure proper labeling and packaging.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy of test orders.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
