Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Greenwich, CT is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role requires experience with blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper sample handling, with a Monday–Friday schedule 8am–5pm plus rotating Saturdays.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on venipuncture experience is required; candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office and understand OSHA regulations. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification or state requirement where employed.
• Minimum 12 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced settings.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures; explains venipuncture to patients.
• Matches requisitions to tubes; labels, centrifuges, splits and freezes specimens as needed.
• Package specimens for transport; ensure correct labeling and temperature control.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations; attend trainings and satisfy compliance requirements.
