Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Greenwich, CT. The position involves performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation. It requires a phlebotomy certification and at least 1 year of venipuncture experience.

The role is scheduled 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays, for approximately 3 months with potential for permanent hire. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 12 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
