Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Charlotte, NC, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves performing venipuncture and related specimen handling with emphasis on accuracy and patient communication.

The position requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience; a High School Diploma or GED is also required. Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and follows test orders.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
