Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Charlotte, NC for a contract opportunity with the potential for permanent hire. Schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a projected duration of 3 months and possibility of permanency. Benefits are available.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate patient data and test orders. Requires certification and prior venipuncture experience.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label/specimen handling as required.
Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures.
