Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and proper labeling of specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate and store specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and obtain informed consent.
• Package specimens for transport and verify test orders against requisitions.
