Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, and collecting samples as required.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination, and update patient information accurately.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
