Qualifications

• Attention to label accuracy and data entry.
• Basic proficiency with office software.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens, centrifuging as needed.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures; maintain specimen integrity.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients as required.
• Demonstrate techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens per test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct temperature control.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and read results as needed.
