Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Monroe, NY (float position). Schedule is Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:30pm, Fri 8:00am-1:00pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate records; candidates must have a current phlebotomy certification and at least six months of venipuncture experience in a hospital or lab setting, plus MS Office

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling, temperature control and transport protocol compliance.
