Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain data records.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
• Verify test requisitions match the specimen labels and orders.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings annually.
