Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting seeks a Phlebotomist (Job Code CVDJP00036081) for a contract in Monroe, NY (float position). Schedule is typically Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:30pm, Fri 8:00am-1:00pm, with an initial duration of 3 months and potential for perm.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Minimum qualifications: phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles and comply with physician orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
