Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining records, and ensuring specimen integrity according to protocols. OSHA/DEP regulations compliance and trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensure proper labeling and computer matching of requisitions and tubes.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and read laboratory results as needed.
