Software Placement Group is recruiting a Phlebotomist in Washington, DC for a contract role with a potential move to permanent placement. The position requires handling blood draws, specimen labeling, and data accuracy in a fast-paced clinical lab setting.

The role involves Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm, on-site with a contract duration of approximately three months. Benefits are available and there is potential for conversion to a permanent position depending on performance.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens with accurate data.
• Centrifuge specimens as required and maintain data records.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Follow physician orders and laboratory protocols precisely.
• Package and transport specimens per SOPs.
