The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Washington DC. The role involves performing venipunctures, labeling and handling specimens, and ensuring accurate data entry and specimen transport.

The ideal candidate will have phlebotomy certification, at least 5 venipuncture experiences in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and comfort working with geriatric patients. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-4pm with Saturday half-days, for an initial 3-month term with potential for

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 5 venipuncture procedures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and record data.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain sample integrity.
