Saint Cyr Partners in Washington, DC seeks a contract phlebotomist to support a busy lab for 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, location at Georgia Ave NW.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and maintaining patient information; you will work with geriatric patients, ensure specimen integrity, and comply with OSHA regulations.

Competenze

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Fully understand physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity per protocol.
