Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. in Georgia is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, and support lab operations on a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role requires adherence to procedures and team collaboration.

You will handle specimen collection across age groups, document results, and ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards; prior phlebotomy certification and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
