H.T. Prof Executive Search seeks a skilled phlebotomist for a contract role in Cumming, GA. The position runs 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday to Friday, with an initial 3-month duration and potential for permanent placement. Benefits are available.

The main function is to assist with blood draws, specimen handling, and workflow improvements, while ensuring safety and accuracy in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience drawing blood from patients of all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and guardians.
• Demonstrate needle techniques and ensure specimen integrity.
• Match requisitions to specimens and prepare for transport.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations in daily work.
