Aspire Talent Solutions in Ashland, Oregon is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support a 3-month project with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, with off every other Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensures 100% accuracy.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores them at required temperatures.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
• Responds to inquiries by reading laboratory results and answering calls.
