Job summary

Labcorp in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and enter patient data accurately while ensuring excellent patient service.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training or 3 months of experience. The role may require travel to additional sites and involves administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
