Job summary

Labcorp in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, at either patient service centers or client offices. You will handle specimen preparation, data entry, and basic billing tasks, with travel to additional sites as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork. Flexible to work overtime and pass color-blind testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
