Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at the Petersburg PSC in Virginia. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, support various tests and ensure excellent patient service in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Hours are 7:15am–5:00pm, Mon–Fri with OT as needed and rotating Saturdays. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training are required; one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
