Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Alexandria, VA. The position involves blood collection, patient interaction, and travel to additional sites as needed. Schedule includes mornings and some Saturdays.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred 1+ year of phlebotomy experience. Excellent customer service and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
