Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in New Castle, Delaware. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and ensure accurate data entry and specimen handling.

This role emphasizes delivering superior customer service, maintaining logs, and supporting billing processes. The position may require travel to additional sites and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
