Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Cherry Lane in New Castle, DE. This role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen handling, data entry, and assisting with billing and administrative tasks.

You will travel to additional sites as needed while delivering exceptional patient service. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency preferred
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
