Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Brackenville Road in Hockessin, DE. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture/capillary methods for all ages, specimen handling, and data entry, with a focus on accurate processing and patient service.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Prior phlebotomy training or certification is preferred; 1+ year experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
