Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at our Wilmington, DE location. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen handling, data entry, and providing courteous service to patients.

You will work a daytime schedule with some travel to additional sites, and you'll be responsible for maintaining logs, preparing specimens for testing, and supporting billing and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
