Genie Matthews and Associates in Austin, TX seeks a Phlebotomist on a contract basis with potential for permanent placement. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, and maintaining accurate records across float locations in the Austin area.

The schedule is Mon–Fri 8am–5pm with occasional daytime hours, and mileage is reimbursed. A valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or a hospital lab.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws and labeling of specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
