Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Rocky Mount, NC. This temp-to-perm role offers a Monday-Thursday schedule (36 hours/week) with pay between $19.93 and $21.35 per hour. The position includes benefits and potential extension opportunities within a top-tier healthcare organization.

Job description

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, based in Rocky Mount, NC 27804

This is a temp to perm role with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-5:30pm (36 hours per week)

Pay Range: $19.93- $21.35/hr

(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.

Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
  • Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
  • Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  • Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Medical training (such as medical assistant or paramedic programs) is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting is preferred.
