Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist for a medical facility in Crestview, FL. This is a 3+ months contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive pay rate and W-2 employment.

The role requires venipuncture and EKGs, patient comfort, and accurate labeling while maintaining safety and compliance. Training periods apply; shift is Mon-Fri with weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Active driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal.
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.

Job description

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Crestview, FL. This is a 3+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Rate: $19.85 - $21.26/hr. on W2.

Shift: Mon- Fri 5 am-4 pm, Tuesday - off. Every 3rd Saturday 6 am-11 pm (Mon-Fri 6am-3pm during training.)

Duration: 3+ months

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
