Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist III - Float in Rocky Mount, VA for a 6-month contract with potential extension or conversion.

The role involves venipuncture across age ranges, specimen processing, and travel to PSCs and physician offices; 40 hours per week, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM EST.

ASAP start; pay range $21-$23/hour based on experience and education; local candidates within 20-25 miles preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain signatures after venipuncture.
• Maintain documentation and a clean, safe work environment.
• Travel to multiple PSCs and physician offices with short notice.
• Support workflow in high-volume settings and provide customer-friendly service.

Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist III - Float at Rocky Mount, VA! This is a 6 months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday | Flexible between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (EST)

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $21-23/hour (Based on years of experience & education)

Note:

1. Candidate must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record.

2. Floaters are eligible to submit mileage between work locations for expense reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain patient signatures after venipuncture to ensure specimen labeling accuracy.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection following established procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and required records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
• Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and physician office locations with minimal notice.
• Assist in maintaining workflow efficiency in high-volume environments.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience with:

• Geriatric collections
• Capillary collections
