Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in Greensboro, NC to perform blood collections and support tests across age groups. The role covers venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, billing support, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and a phlebotomy certification or training, or 3 months+ experience. Preferred candidates have 1+ year of phlebotomy experience and strong customer service skills.

Job description

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, is seeking a Phlebotomist in Greensboro, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Job Standards
  • Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
