Job summary

Labcorp Greensboro, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary techniques, while accurately entering patient data and supporting billing processes. You will deliver excellent customer service and collaborate with a team to ensure smooth operations.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training or certification, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Job Location and Schedule

Greensboro, NC
Mon–Thu: 8:30am–5:30pm
Fri: 8:00am–1:00pm

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
